De zonnige hellingen van het natuurreservaat herbergen 23 soorten orchideeën, evenals talrijke planten, waarvan sommige zuidelijke verwantschap vertonen. Naast de verscheidenheid aan plantensoorten, waarvan de meest spectaculaire de orchideeën zijn, die van mei tot juni bloeien, herbergt het natuurgebied vele vlinders. In de herfst kunt u ook wilde bessen en vruchten ontdekken. Het natuurreservaat van Montenach bestaat uit 6 heuvels die het dorp omringen en beslaat een oppervlakte van 107 hectare.
