Sie wurden in den 1950er Jahren von L. Cadis entdeckt und gemeldet. Er erforschte diesen Teil der Gironde aktiv und führte Ausgrabungen in einigen dieser Hügelgräber durch. Er legte dort Strukturen frei und sammelte Überreste aus der 1. Eisenzeit (Graburnen, Metallgegenstände). Diese Hügelgräber sind Grabstätten. Es gibt mehrere davon in der Süd-Gironde und entlang des Leyre-Tals.
