Sie wurde im 14. Jahrhundert erbaut und ist Teil der Großen Stadtmauer von Verdun. Er hat die Form eines Hufeisens und wird auch Tour du Puty genannt. Der Name "Plaids" stammt von den Gerichtsverhandlungen, die hier im Mittelalter abgehalten wurden.
ZU BESICHTIGEN:
> Die alte Stadtmauer entlang des Canal du Puty und der Tour de l'Islot.
> Der Canal du Puty fließt unter dem Tour des Plaids hindurch. Er ist einer der vielen Kanäle der Maas in Verdun. Diese Kanäle erinnern an die Zeit, als die Gerberwerkstätten, die für die Armee arbeiteten, einen wichtigen Teil der industriellen Aktivität Verduns darstellten.
