Ispagnac liegt zwischen den Cevennen und den Gorges du Tarn in einem Tal, das auch als "Garten der Lozère" bezeichnet wird. Dieses Tal mit seinen Obstbäumen und sonnigen Hängen ist der Ort, an dem die drei Muttergesteine der Lozère (Kalkstein, Schiefer, Granit) aufeinandertreffen.
Seit der Eisenzeit haben die Menschen diese Felsen bearbeitet und uns ein Erbe hinterlassen, das die Jahrhunderte überdauert hat. Im Vallon d'Ispagnac stehen die Menhire auf den Höhen des Dorfes neben der Kirche Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul aus dem 12. Jahrhundert mit romanischer Architektur im alten Ortskern. Jahrhundert. Und natürlich fließt in diesem Tal der magische Fluss Tarn.
