Ispagnac, entre las Cevenas y las Gargantas del Tarn, se encuentra en un valle apodado "el jardín de Lozère". En este valle de árboles frutales y laderas soleadas confluyen las tres rocas madre de la región de Lozère (caliza, esquisto y granito).
El hombre ha trabajado estas rocas desde la Edad de Hierro, dejándonos un patrimonio que ha resistido el paso del tiempo. En el Vallon d'Ispagnac, los menhires de las alturas del pueblo conviven con la iglesia románica del siglo XII de Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, en el casco antiguo. Y, por supuesto, el mágico río Tarn atraviesa el valle.
