Ispagnac, between the Cevennes and the Gorges du Tarn, is located in a valley nicknamed "the garden of Lozere". This valley with its fruit trees and its sunny hillsides is the place where the three mother rocks of Lozere (limestone, schist, granite) meet.
Men have worked these rocks since the Iron Age, leaving us a heritage that has lasted for centuries. Indeed, in the Vallon d'Ispagnac, the menhirs on the heights of the village are next to the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul church of Romanesque architecture dating from the 12th century located in the old town. And of course, in this valley flows the magic river, the Tarn.
