Dieser Zierbrunnen aus Granit, der sogenannte "Quinault-Brunnen", besteht aus einem runden Becken und einem hohen, zentralen, sechseckigen Sockel, der die Steinbüste des lyrischen Dichters Philippe Quinault trägt. Musikinstrumente und ein Lorbeerkranz, die auf der Säule geschnitzt sind, erinnern an Quinaults künstlerische Karriere, der ein Schützling des Dramatikers Tristan L'Hermite und ein Mitarbeiter von Lully war.
Die 1852 zum Gedenken an ein vermeintliches Kind des Landes feierlich eingeweihte Säule war für den Bürgermeister von Felletin eine seltsame Überraschung, als er feststellte, dass Philippe Quinault keinerlei Verbindung zu Felletin hatte. Eine Fehlinterpretation der Archive hatte dieses Missverständnis die ganze Zeit über aufrechterhalten
