Seit Milly rutschte Lamartine, als Kind, die Hänge des Monsard hinunter, um Bussières und die Stunden des Abbé Dumont zu erreichen. Letzterer ruht hinter der denkmalgeschützten Kirche des Dorfes. Vom Monsard (407 Meter) und dem Cras-Berg (505 Meter) wölbt sich der Horizont über die derart vertraute Landschaft des Dichters.
