Das Gerichtsgebäude, das von George Papworth im neoklassizistischen Stil entworfen und aus Werkstein erbaut wurde, wurde 1822 fertiggestellt. Es wurde 1860 nach einem Entwurf von George Wilkinson wieder aufgebaut. Das Design beinhaltete eine symmetrische Hauptfront, die zur The Mall ausgerichtet war; es gab eine kurze Treppe, die zu einem großen hexastyligen Portikus mit dorischen Säulen führte, die ein mit Konsolen versehenes Gesims und eine Attika stützten; der Portikus war auf jeder Seite von zwei Bayfenstern flankiert, wobei die äußeren Bays, die als Pavillons vorgezogen wurden, auf der ersten Etage venezianische Fenster aufwiesen.
