Der Haarlemmermeerse Wald ist ein 115 Hektar großes, parkähnliches Gebiet nordwestlich von Hoofddorp. Der Wald wurde in den 70er Jahren angelegt und im Jahr 1979 offiziell für die Öffentlichkeit eröffnet und hat sich zu einer regionalen Attraktion entwickelt. Im Wald finden regelmäßig Veranstaltungen statt, wie das jährliche Mysteryland und das Concours Hippique. In einem Teil des Waldes fand 2002 die Floriade statt, weshalb dieser Teil eine Zeit lang abgeriegelt war und während der Floriade nur mit einer Eintrittskarte zugänglich war. Es sind noch einige Überreste der Floriade 2002 im Wald vorhanden, wie das Haarlemmermeerpaviljoen, das Expogebäude und der Big Spotters Hill.
