Bladel ) ist der Hauptort der gleichnamigen Gemeinde Bladel in der niederländischen Provinz Nordbrabant. Der Ort liegt in der Region die Kempen.
Der Name Bladel ist unter anderem als Bladele, Pladella und Bladella zu finden, aber seit 1280 lautet die Schreibweise: Bladel. Die Endung -el stammt von lo oder lauha, was Wald bedeutet. Die Bedeutung des Präfixes Blad- ist unbekannt, könnte aber mit einem Eigennamen in Zusammenhang stehen. Das Präfix "Blad" könnte auch von bladra abgeleitet sein, was Schwellung, Erhöhung eines Ortes bedeutet. Der Name Pladella für eine Villa in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts könnte ebenfalls auf eine Wohnstätte auf einer Erhöhung in der Landschaft hinweisen.
