Die Kirche von Herveld ist St. Willibrord geweiht. Die in den sechziger Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts erbaute römisch-katholische Kirche trägt noch immer den Namen Willibrorduskerk. Die mittelalterliche Kirche wurde nach der Reformation protestantisch. Bis 1606 ging die Gemeinde dabei eine Kombination mit der protestantischen Kirche von Slijk-Ewijk ein. Die Kirche wurde in den Jahren 1949 – 1953 restauriert und in 1957 – 1958 wurde der Turm restauriert. Im neuen Jahrtausend wurde die Kirche sehr gründlich überholt und die Außen- und Innenseite von Kirche und Turm vollständig restauriert. Im April 2009 wurde die Kirche feierlich in Gebrauch genommen.
