Kirken i Herveld er viet til St. Willibrord. Den romersk-katolske kirke, bygget i 1960'erne, bærer stadig navnet Willibrorduskirke. Den middelalderlige kirke blev protestantisk efter reformationen. Indtil 1606 indgik menigheden en kombination med den protestantiske kirke i Slijk-Ewijk. Kirken blev renoveret i årene 1949 – 1953, og tårnet blev restaureret i 1957 – 1958. I det nye årtusinde blev kirken grundigt renoveret, og både kirken og tårnets indre og ydre blev fuldstændig restaureret. I april 2009 blev kirken festligt taget i brug.
