De kerk van Herveld is gewijd aan St. Willibrord. De in de zestiger jaren van de vorige eeuw gebouwde Rooms-katholieke kerk draagt nog steeds de naam Willibrorduskerk. De middeleeuwse kerk is na de Hervorming protestants geworden. Tot 1606 is de gemeente daarbij een combinatie aangegaan met de protestantse kerk van Slijk-Ewijk. De kerk is in de jaren 1949 – 1953 hersteld en in 1957 – 1958 is de toren gerestaureerd. In het nieuwe millennium is de kerk heel grondig onderhanden genomen en is de buiten- en binnenzijde van kerk en toren volledig gerestaureerd. In april 2009 is de kerk feestelijk in gebruik genomen.
