L'église de Herveld est dédiée à Saint Willibrord. L'église catholique romaine construite dans les années soixante du siècle dernier porte toujours le nom d'église Willibrordus. L'église médiévale est devenue protestante après la Réforme. Jusqu'en 1606, la commune a constitué une combinaison avec l'église protestante de Slijk-Ewijk. L'église a été restaurée entre 1949 et 1953 et la tour a été restaurée entre 1957 et 1958. Dans le nouveau millénaire, l'église a été complètement rénovée et l'extérieur et l'intérieur de l'église et de la tour ont été entièrement restaurés. En avril 2009, l'église a été mise en service de manière festive.
