La iglesia de Herveld está dedicada a san Willibrordo. La iglesia católica romana, construida en la década de 1960, aún lleva el nombre de iglesia Willibrordus. La iglesia medieval se convirtió en protestante tras la Reforma. Hasta 1606, la comunidad se unió a la iglesia protestante de Slijk-Ewijk. La iglesia fue restaurada entre 1949 y 1953, y la torre fue restaurada entre 1957 y 1958. En el nuevo milenio, la iglesia fue sometida a una extensa renovación y tanto el exterior como el interior de la iglesia y la torre fueron completamente restaurados. En abril de 2009, la iglesia se inauguró festivamente.
