Snakkerburen ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Leeuwarden in der Provinz Friesland, Niederlande. Im Januar 2017 hatte es eine Bevölkerung von etwa 225 Einwohnern. Snakkerburen war ursprünglich eine landwirtschaftliche Gemeinschaft. Im 15. Jahrhundert zogen einige Einzelhändler aus Leeuwarden ein, weil es außerhalb der Zuständigkeit der Stadt lag. Im 17. Jahrhundert wurden Ziegelei und Ofen entlang der kanalisierten Dokkumer Ee errichtet. Im Jahr 1840 lebten in Snakkerburen 287 Menschen.
