Der Velperplein ist ein etwas oval längliches Platz im Zentrum von Arnhem, an dem unter anderem das Musis Sacrum und das Rembrandt Theater gelegen sind. Der Platz liegt an der nordöstlichen Seite des Einkaufszentrums von Arnhem. Der Velperplein spielt eine wichtige Rolle im Verkehr von Autos und Bussen in Arnhem. Zwischen ca. 1995 und 2005 wurde der Platz umfassend umgebaut mit neuen Fahrwegen und Fahrrad-/Fußwegen und/oder deren Verlegung. Auch wurde auf der Südseite ein ganz neuer Busbahnhof und ein Tunnelzugang zur dortigen Tiefgarage geschaffen.
