Il Velperplein è una piazza allungata e leggermente ovale nel centro di Arnhem, dove si trovano tra l'altro il Musis Sacrum e il Teatro Rembrandt. La piazza si trova sul lato nordest del centro commerciale di Arnhem. Il Velperplein svolge un ruolo importante nella circolazione del traffico automobilistico e degli autobus ad Arnhem. Tra circa il 1995 e il 2005, la piazza è stata oggetto di importanti lavori di ristrutturazione con nuove strade e percorsi ciclabili/pedonali e/o il loro spostamento. È stato inoltre costruito un nuovo capolinea per gli autobus sul lato sud e un ingresso alla galleria di parcheggio lì presente.
