Die Mühle De Welvaart wurde 1864 im Auftrag von Joseph Aerts gebaut. Es handelt sich um eine schlanke, aufrecht stehende Kornmühle.
Nach mehreren Eigentümerwechseln wurde der Mühlenknecht Leo Linssen 1929 Eigentümer der Mühle.
Er führte eine große Anzahl von Verbesserungen durch. So kaufte Linssen einen elektrisch betriebenen Mahlstuhl, um windstille Perioden abzufangen.
