Die Pfarrkirche von Ponte de Lima wird auch Kirche Santa Maria dos Anjos genannt.
Die Kirche geht auf einen Tempel zurück, der zwischen dem 12. und 13. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde. Die Kirche wurde im 15. Jahrhundert wieder aufgebaut.
Die meisten Skulpturen im Inneren stammen aus dem 18. Jahrhundert . Das wichtigste befindet sich auf der Südseite des Kreuzes und besteht aus einem großen Altarbild im nationalen Stil aus dem Jahr 1729, das der Schmerzhaften Muttergottes gewidmet ist .
Das neugotische Rosettenfenster wurde 1932 hergestellt und ist von dem der Kirche von São Francisco de Porto inspiriert.
