The Protestant Johanneskirche is located at the Lend Canal in the western part of the state capital Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in the state of Carinthia, with a house of worship as a preaching point situated in the city of Ferlach. The founding of the independent parish community took place in Klagenfurt in 1864. Today, the area encompasses the region of the state capital Klagenfurt am Wörthersee west of Bahnhofstraße, extending to the Loibl Pass in the south and to Maria Wörth in the west. The number of members currently amounts to around 4,370.
