De evangelische Johanneskirche staat aan het Lendkanaal in het westen van de hoofdstad Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in de deelstaat Karinthië, een gebedsplaats als predikantslocatie bevindt zich in de stad Ferlach. De oprichting van de zelfstandige parochie vond plaats in Klagenfurt in het jaar 1864. Het gebied omvat tegenwoordig het gebied van de hoofdstad Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ten westen van de Bahnhofstraße, reikt in het zuiden tot de Loiblpas en in het westen tot Maria Wörth. Het aantal leden bedraagt momenteel ongeveer 4370.
