The Sint-Britiuskerk is the village church of the borough of Etikhove. The devotion to Saint Britius refers to the early Middle Ages when devotion to this saint was popular. The church underwent a considerable number of renovations. In the façade above the baptistery we find the year 1768. In the rear façade we see the year 1837 with the masonry initials PVO, referring to the bricklayer Petrus Van Overmeire.
The church organ was built between 1776 and 1787 by Pieter Van Peteghem and son Lambert-Benoit, of the well-known organ builder family. The organ was protected in 1974 and restored in 1981.
The coloured stained glass windows from the period 1968-1974 are by art glazier Michiel Leenknegt from Kwaremont.
