The Scheldt Plains Nature Park is located in the Belgian province of Hainaut in the Walloon region. It is located in the border area with France, Département Nord in the Hauts-de-France region.
The nature park, which was only officially founded in 1996, covers an area of 26,000 hectares. Six large municipalities with 37 villages form the park and represent a catchment area of around 61,500 inhabitants. These are the municipalities:
