A place of nymphs... A beautiful building is the source building in the Commandery of Sint-Pieters-Voeren. Here flows the river Voer which gives its name to this area. The source of the Voer is not located in the building but is located a little further away. Up to 4,000 litres per minute flow through the buildings from the source area of the Voer further away.
The building is a kind of nymphaion. A nymphaion is a building erected in Greek and Roman times dedicated to the nymphs "who live on springs and rivers".
