Originally, the parish church stood on Kerkstraat. The Sint-Christoffel Chapel there - a remnant of the church that was demolished at the beginning of the 20th century - still contains the 16th-century choir. The current church was built in 1906. It is a brick, neo-Gothic basilica, designed by Mathieu Christiaens. For decoration, horizontal sandstone bands have been applied. In addition to two square sections, the tower has an octagonal third section and is crowned by a spire covered with slate tiles.
