Well-preserved classicist square built to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the reign of Charles of Lorraine in 1776. This was one of the rare places where the bourgeoisie and the nobility walked on foot. They felt safe as the square was paved and the air was better than in the lower town. At the moment, this square has to cope with excess car traffic and the statue of Godefroid de Bouillon serves as a traffic roundabout. If you are interested in museums, you will certainly find something to your liking in this area with the Museums of Fine Arts and Bozar, which is the last masterpiece by architect Victor Horta.
