Harnoncourt is a village in the Belgian province of Luxembourg and a district of Rouvroy in the Virton arrondissement. The village is located in the valley of the Ton. In the district, there is a large cellulose factory.
At the end of the Ancien Régime, Harnoncourt became a municipality, which also included the village of Lamorteau. In 1823, major municipal reorganizations were carried out in Luxembourg, and many small municipalities were merged. The neighboring municipality of Torgny was dissolved and added to Harnoncourt. The new municipality was named after the intervening village, Lamorteau. After Torgny was split off again in 1853, Harnoncourt was also separated from Lamorteau in 1906 and became an independent municipality.
