The hamlet of Bolderberg is named after a million-year-old witness hill. The Bolderberg and other hills in the region then formed a large dune area. The top of the Bolderberg is with its 60 meters one of the highest in Limburg. The Sint-Jobkerk is a neo-Romanesque hall church that was built between 1873 and 1876 in brick with bluestone here and there. The church contains some beautiful works of art such as an oil painting from the second half of the 17th century depicting Saint Job. The oak statues showing Saint Anne and Saint Job and the polychrome Gothic crucifix date from the first half of the 16th century.
In the cemetery we find the funerary monument of Joseph Bovy, who was governor of Limburg from 1872 to 1879. We will meet his name during our walk.
