Roborst is a village in the municipality of Zwalm, in the Belgian province of East Flanders. Roborst is a rural village in the Flemish Ardennes, which is one of the 50 most beautiful villages in Flanders.Near the St. Dionysius Church, in the park of the manor house, on the north side you can still see some remains of a medieval castle. In the 16th century, an old Ghent patrician family lived here. The castle was a country residence of knight Rijkaert, 'Lord of Roborst' and mayor of Ghent in 1516. His son Jan van Utenhove was the later well-known leader of the Protestant church for Dutch religious refugees in London. The former town hall is the original gatehouse. Roborst was part of the land of Zottegem.
