Villers, a small village in Condrusian that can be traced back to the Neolithic period, had its first development in Roman times. Indeed, the village was located close to the Roman road linking Tongeren to Arlon. It is this Roman influence that gives it its name. The toponym Villers (Vilé in fact) comes from the Latin "villare", derived from the word villa. It first refers to a piece of land dependent on a villa, then successively to a farm, a hamlet and a village.
