This stone ground sailer was erected in 1795-1800 by mulder Devos. According to tradition, the mill name "Ter Sleepe" would be related to the poor turning of the sails because the sails caught little wind. After all, it does not adorn a ridge and stands at a height of barely 56 meters. The sails disappeared due to a lightning strike around 1938, but the windmill cap (type of seat cover) is still there - even though it has undergone modifications. Today, this mill is rented out as a holiday home.
