St. Martin's Church Rijmenam
On this site stood a church or chapel built between 940 and 1050 which was replaced by a Gothic church in the 14th century. Figurative murals from that period are still visible in the left aisle.
During the restoration of 2004, underfloor heating was installed (condition for restoring the church organ). The original oak portal was then demolished and replaced by a glass door and the marble tabernacle in the choir of the church was replaced by "wooden boxes". The oak seats for the notables have been removed. (source: wikipedia)
