Did you know that Jean Neuhaus is the inventor of the praline. He designed the prailine in 1912 in the shop of his grandfather. The store is still there today and can be seen in the Queen's Gallery in Brussels. So Jean brought the first filled chocolate with a soft filling on the market. Even more. The invention of the praline box, the Ballotin, is also linked to Neuhaus. A few years after the first praline, his wife invented the Ballotin. She had done this for the simple reason that when she saw her husband selling pralines and stashing them in a cone bag, she hate to see them brake.
