The Marquise Mill is located just outside the village of Moulbaix, about five kilometers southwest and the town of Ath, Hainaut province. It was built in 1614 overlooking the castle of Count Aymard d'Ursel, its owner.
The Mill of the Marchesa is one of the oldest in the region. It is built entirely of wood, which is its peculiarity. On the big spinning wheel is the inscription "Year 1614", this takes us back to its first construction in the countryside near Blicquy where it remained for the next four centuries. Marquis J.F. Chasteler ordered its construction at the request of a certain M.Cazier.
