Windmill located on a so-called mill hill, at the corner with Peerdekerkhofstraat, near the border with Hulshout. It is the only remaining wooden mill in the arrondissement of Mechelen. In 1474 owned by knight Pot, in 1587 by the then Lord of Heist. Around 1830 it was owned by the Duke of d'Ursel, whose descendants sold the mill in 1880 to Victor Van Bael. Since 1978 it has been owned by the municipality. Thoroughly restored according to the design of architect P. Gevers in collaboration with E. Spiessens in the period 1989-1990.
