Middenloop Zwalm is a recognized nature reserve in the Zwalm valley along the Zwalm in the Flemish Ardennes in South-East Flanders. The reserve consists of several sub-areas and the Steenberg forests) on the territory of Zottegem, Zwalm and Brakel. The nature reserve covers a total area of approximately 140 ha of roadsides, grasslands and forests and is managed by Natuurpunt department Zwalm valley. The Boembekemolen and the Mijnwerkerspad are located in the nature reserve. The reserve is recognised as a European Natura 2000 site and is part of the Flemish Ecological Network.
