On 12 September 1926, a 'pig fair' was organized on the village square of Etikhove following the official opening of the new weaving workshop "Société de Tapis d'Art De Saedeleer et C°", in which both Valerius De Saedeleer and his daughters played an important role. The number of guests at this pig fair was estimated at 400; there were many prominent guests from the political and cultural world, including architect Henri Vandevelde, minister Wouters, Stijn Streuvels, Geo Verbanck, Edgard Tytgat, Georges Creten, Albert Saverys, ...
