The Sixtus forests stretch on the ridge northwest of Poperinge. It is a collection of all smaller forests and belongs to the well-known Saint Sixtus Abbey, where monks brew their delicious Trappist beer. A visit to the claustrum, tasting a Trappist beer and a walk through the woods can be combined on the Sint-Sixtus walking route (7.1 km). This is available at the Poperinge Tourist Office.
