The city park, which covers about 8 hectares, is located in the heart of Waregem. The neoclassical castle was built in the middle of the 19th century by Felix De Ruyck. Baron Casier moved in in 1897. Since then, the castle was always inhabited by his heirs until the domain finally became the property of the city of Waregem in 1977. The park was completely redesigned. The Coach House has also been renovated and is an exhibition space for artists.
In the castle there is a tearoom today. On the terrace you can quietly enjoy a drink and the nature around you.
In summer, park Baron Casier is the setting for various concerts. Every Monday evening in July and August there are the Parkies concerts where one artist comes to perform. And during the Waregem Koerse Feesten there are performances by various artists on Saturday and Monday (for Waregem Koerse). In short, there is always something going on!
