Founded in 1948 to a design by R. De Bruyn (see inscription on the granite plinth) in memory of the political prisoners of Lier. Brick chapel on a rectangular floor plan under a truncated, overhanging gable roof with an iron cross. Arched wall openings. Rear façade with corner pilasters and wall decorations; façade stone with the year 1948. Simple interior with a wooden statue of Saint Rita by F. Rooms (now disappeared).
