Castle today senior citizen home. This estate belonged in the 11th-12th century to the Saint Michael's Abbey, later it came into the hands of private individuals, including the Affaytadi family (from 1535 to 1807). In the second quarter of the 16th century, the castle was rebuilt, burned down during the plundering expeditions of Maarten van Rossem (1542, hence the name Burnt Court) and then rebuilt again. The current building from 1897 was designed by Alfons Van der Gucht on behalf of Count G. Agie de Selsaete.
