This building is one of the oldest in the community. Its construction has been dated to the winter of 1644-1645. The facades and the roof were listed in 1982. The restoration has meant that a large part of the original half timbered walls has been preserved. Those in very poor condition were replaced using the same materials but with modern techniques. The contemporary touches are clearly visible. The project has been carried out using environmentally friendly construction methods and taking into account the needs of a sustainable development. In this house of 17th century, discover a small museum recalling the history of Plombières and its natural reserve which accomodates rare plants pushing on grounds nouveau riches out of metals.
