Fed by the water of the Laak, the Grote Nete is in search of its final destination. Before that happens, the river meanders for some time through the province of Antwerp and has been contributing to the formation of the landscape we know today for centuries. The Nete and its tributaries contribute to the surrounding landscape having a fairly green character, despite the detrimental activities of humans.
