The nature reserve 'De Snepkensvijver' managed by Natuurpunt is a dune pan extincted by the wind and consists of a centrally located water feature surrounded by swamp with gale bush and drier sandy soils.
With some luck you can meet a brown frog or a hedge frog between the trees. Information about the hedge frog can be found on the information boards at the entrance of the nature reserve De Snepkensvijver.
