The station opened in 1891 along line 59, which had a gauge of 1151 mm instead of standard gauge until 1897.
The former station building was of the type 1893 L8. Unlike other stations of the type 1893, no relieving arch was used above the openings. However, there has not been a building on this site for quite some time. It was located where there are now bike racks and parking.
