Located in Calestienne at the foot of the Turmont rock, between Han-sur-Lesse and Ave-et-Auffe, this pond once had a wilder character but has been developed over the past few years by the owner as a fishing area, with stocking, bank artificialization, and the construction of small infrastructures. While the banks still host spontaneous vegetation, gathering species from the tall herbaceous vegetation, such as meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) and hemp agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum), aquatic vegetation is almost absent. Despite this, the site still holds some interest for entomofauna, particularly odonates. The quite flowery surroundings are particularly attractive to certain rare butterflies from the nearby calcareous grasslands.
