Situata nella Calestienne ai piedi della roccia di Turmont, tra Han-sur-Lesse e Ave-et-Auffe, questo stagno aveva un carattere più selvaggio in passato, ma negli ultimi anni è stato sistemato dal proprietario come area per la pesca, con piantumazioni, sponde artificiali e la costruzione di piccole infrastrutture. Sebbene le sponde ospitino ancora una vegetazione spontanea con specie della megaflora, come il potente (Filipendula ulmaria) e l'euforbia canapa (Eupatorium cannabinum), la vegetazione acquatica, invece, è praticamente assente. Tuttavia, il sito ha ancora un certo fascino per la fauna degli insetti, in particolare per le libellule. I bordi fioriti sono particolarmente attraenti per alcune farfalle rare dei vicini prati calcarei.
