Description

The Leuven-Dijle Canal is one of the oldest in Belgium. It connects the canal basin in Leuven with the Zennegat in Mechelen over a distance of 30 km. The five authentic locks - Tildonk, Kampenhout, Boortmeerbeek, Battel and Zennegat - and their surroundings are protected. Today you don't just see impressive cargo ships. The marina at the lock complex in Kampenhout illustrates the growing popularity of the canal among pleasure boaters.
